We’re not sure if Italian artist Carlo Sampietro is a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fan but his latest creation seems like it would be perfect for Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo and Leonardo. The New York-based artist took a discarded city sewage pipe and transformed it into an industrial-chic sofa, creating an attractive hybrid of sculpture and furniture. By repurposing the rusty old pipe, the artist gave new life to something thought to be utterly useless, and made it into an incredible piece of multi-functional art.
